Sally’s Cove
Sally’s Cove is believed to be named after Sally Short who, along with her children, left her husband only to be shipwrecked in the cove. By 1981 the population had declined to 100. Residents were encouraged to move but some refused even after restrictions were placed on building, selling and inheriting homes. By the late 1980s the restrictions were removed and Sally’s Cove became a park enclave community.
