The drive through the Humber Valley is one of the most scenic in the province. The town of Steady Brook is one of Corner Brook’s two bedroom communities – the other being Massey Drive, located to the west of the city. Steady Brook is the location of Marble Mountain Ski Resort. A walking trail leads to the fast-flowing waterfall cascading behind the resort. In 1954, Sir Eric Bowater built a summer home and retreat in Little Rapids. Years later, Strawberry Hill has been privy to a number of guests, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
