Route 430 Bird Cove
If you’re haunted by history or animated by archaeology you’ll want to stop here. This community has become an important archaeological site for Aboriginal peoples. The Bird Cove Prehistoric Cultures Foundation converted a former school into a local museum and there are archaeological digs in and around the community. These efforts revealed that the Bird Cove area was a major Maritime Archaic Indian and Dorset Eskimo site.
