Misery loves company, even if that company is actually two communities separated only by a church, a school and a community centre. Misery Point, named for its unpredictable weather, is the site of Fishing Livyer’s Station. The former home was moved from another community by schooner in 1944 and now includes a fisherman’s store, fish flakes, root cellar and kitchen garden – the necessities of early settlement.
