Social Media: Best Practices for Summer 2022

A recap of how accommodators can enhance their socials during the coming summer season in a brief slideshow.

During summer 2021, Go Western Newfoundland's Regional Marketing Officer, Emili Fraser, met with several operators during one-on-one sessions. In this sessions, we reviewed some of the best practises for scheduling posts, using tools and programs, and running ads to compliment packages advertised on NewfoundlandLabrador.com.

After much success with her scheduled posts, Cathy Lomond* felt that the best practices shared during those sessions would be of benefit to the Hotel Motel Sector Group. Last week during Hospitality Newfoundland & Labrador's (HNL) 38th annual conference and trade show, Social Media: Best Practices for Summer 2022 was presented during the Hotel Motel Sector Group Meeting.

Go Western Newfoundland offers one-on-one meetings with members to review their social media channels and business listings in the Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism Operator Portal (NLTOP). We'll schedule a time for you to visit our office in Corner Brook, we'll visit you at your property, or set up a virtual meeting via Zoom.

*Cathy Lomond is the owner/operator of Hotel Port aux Basques – the very first autism friendly hotel in North America – and the Hotel/Motel Sector Representative on the Hospitality Newfoundland & Labrador board of directors.
